White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Clinical Staff Pharmacist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will prepare and dispense medications, utilize pharmacy support personnel, and provide in-service education for physicians, nurses, and other practitioners. You will perform pharmacy functions to assure safe and effective medication delivery to the Nursing Department, and design, recommend, monitor, and evaluate patient-specific pharmacotherapy. This role helps assure adherence to medication-use policies, participates in the formulary process, and complies with all accreditation, regulatory, and safety requirements. You will maximize work efficiency with the use of technology, respond to requests for drug information, and ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care. Additionally, you will participate in the departmental performance improvement program, maintain the confidentiality of patient information, and participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication errors. Effective time management is also a key aspect of this role.
