About The Position

The University of Southern California (USC) Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accepting applications for a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to work at the USC Pharmacy located on the University Park Campus. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist will provide pharmacy based clinical patient care services to include, but not limited to, immunizations, travel medicine, smoking cessation and latent TB treatment. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist will be required to verify prescription orders in compliance with Federal and State laws, provide accurate and safe drug therapy, medication consultations and quality assurance for medication errors on a continual basis. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist must have an interest in precepting pharmacy students and residents. The applicant will also participate in regular pharmacy preceptor meetings and clinical pharmacy meetings.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited (ACPE) school of pharmacy.
• Registered pharmacist in the state of CA.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Available to work weekdays and some weekends.
• Must be a registered pharmacist in the state of California.

Nice To Haves

• Pharm.D., residency or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy based clinical patient care services including immunizations, travel medicine, smoking cessation and latent TB treatment.

• Conduct medication consultations.
• Perform quality assurance for medication errors on a continual basis.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents.
• Participate in regular pharmacy preceptor meetings and clinical pharmacy meetings.
• Rotate to other USC Community Pharmacy locations when needed.
