This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to drive future growth and innovation within the business, and to reallocate investments and resources across the company, subject to applicable disclosure and consultation requirements. As a standalone entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investment to drive significant innovation and increase our impact on patient care. It is a flexible work model in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience working directly with diabetes patients or with similar medical device therapies.
  • Fluent English.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience, even if: You have been leading projects instead of directly managing a team.
  • The candidate has demonstrated leadership potential without having had formal staff.
  • One year of experience in clinical education with patients, physicians, and/or chronic specialists.
  • Intermediate level of Excel.
  • U.S. work authorization is required for roles below the Principal level.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in promoting diabetes self-management.
  • Experience in the use and management of the Office package: Power point, Word, Outlook.
  • Previous experience in companies in the diabetes medical device or insulin pump sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-person education and/or consulting activities for customers and healthcare professionals.
  • Provides support to field personnel to ensure the best clinical outcomes and the highest level of service for Medtronic customers.
  • Collaborates with the commercial team to develop and execute sales plans within one or more business units.
  • Participates in congresses, forums, and meetings with the objective of increasing product knowledge and adoption.
  • Works closely with the Clinical Leader, Clinical Management, and the regional Sales team to provide support in clinical cases and support commercial activities.
  • Identifies growth opportunities and facilitates their implementation in conjunction with the Sales and Clinical Support teams.
  • Acts as a technical reference to support the commercialization of a specific medical product or solution.
