About The Position

This is a field-based role requiring the professional to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential. The role involves travel outside the territory for broader engagement. Medtronic's Neuroscience portfolio is dedicated to improving the lives of people with neurological disorders, spine conditions, and chronic pain. The Pelvic Health Operating Unit specifically advances care for patients with bladder and bowel control conditions through minimally invasive neuromodulation therapies. The Clinical Specialist supports the Pelvic Health group in surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory. Basic market development activities may also be involved.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED AND a minimum of 6 years of patient care/clinical experience
  • OR Associate’s Degree AND a minimum of 4 years of patient care/clinical experience
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree AND a minimum of 2 years of patient care/clinical experience
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Clinical skill and knowledge (e.g., ability to conduct a simple trial, implant and/or refill a pump)
  • Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience
  • Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use
  • Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company
  • Clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, or home health care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals

Responsibilities

  • Represents Medtronic Pelvic Health during surgeries and implants by providing all necessary equipment and products.
  • Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up support, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products.
  • Proactively identifies needs in new and existing accounts and teaches a broader level of caregivers and account employees.
  • Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to products and therapies through one-on-one sessions, in-service education programs, seminars, and/or outside symposiums.
  • Assists the district manager and in-house training department in the education/training of new employees in the district.
  • Provides sales support during or following cases, including completing necessary documentation and executing invoices.
  • Places orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects at the regional and/or national level.
  • Understands all applicable quality policy/system items.
  • Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
  • Performs other related activities as assigned.
