OUR VALUES HOPE values: Humility, Ownership, Perseverance, Engagement The Clinical Specialist is responsible for collaborating with the Parent Educator/Lead Parent Educator and CWS on the implementation of program services, linking the assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic interventions with the purpose of achieving successful case outcome. Flexible provision of services that accommodate the families’ needs and adjust schedules to be available evenings and weekends. Under the supervisor’s directive may be required to respond to on-call crisis response with 24/7 availability.

Requirements

Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
1-4 years of post-master's experience.
Master’s degree from a nationally accredited university as a national board-certified behavioral analyst, marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor, psychologist, social worker, school psychologist, or psychiatric nurse.
At least one year of full-time, clinically supervised progressive work experience inclusive of residency, internship, or practicum in the care or treatment of youth in a mental health or educational setting.
Good verbal and written skill in therapeutic assessment and treatment, interviewing, recording and letter writing.
Able to assess family dynamics, strengths and weaknesses to determine most appropriate approaches and interventions.
Ability to work with challenging families to improve their parenting skills.
Support the commitment to preserving a participant's connection with their family of origin and reunification with biological family.
Demonstrated ability in experience and education in relevant aspects of clinical practice.
Commitment to empowering families to be an effective problem solving and nurturing agents.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with people of diverse social, economic, ethnic/racial, and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with at-risk families.
Commitment to family centered, community-based service.
Commitment to children’s safety and family stability.
Good verbal and written communication skills in therapeutic assessment, interviewing and recording.
A valid Hawaii driver's license and a clear driver's abstract.
Current no-fault insurance.
Satisfactory and/or clear driver’s abstract.
Access to an insured vehicle.

Provision of group and individual clinical supervision.
