About The Position

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) mission is to provide opportunities, services, and programs that promote a healthy, safe, and stable environment for residents to be self-sufficient. This position will provide professional social work services for individuals in the hospital’s inpatient psychiatric or developmental disabilities programs. This includes acting as a Treatment Coordinator, writing NGRI and IST Reports in collaboration with the team psychiatrist, providing individual and group therapy, functioning as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program (PSR) group leader, completing psychosocial assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning documentation, and providing discharge planning services to individuals, their families, and referring CMH agencies.

Requirements

• Possession of a master's degree in social work
• Possession of a license as a limited or full master's social worker in Michigan
• Relevant experience and/or education referred to in the supplemental questions must be documented in the resume, transcript and/or application to allow for accurate screening.

• Clinical Social Worker 10: One year of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 9.
• Clinical Social Worker P11: Two years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker, including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 10.

Responsibilities
