About The Position

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinical Social Worker to provide direct social work services across both inpatient hospital settings. This role involves conducting individual psychotherapy, supportive counseling, and family interventions, while meticulously documenting all clinical services in the Electronic Medical Record. The Clinical Social Worker will also serve as a clinical consultant to the interdisciplinary team, leveraging specialized geriatric and rehabilitation knowledge to enhance patient care outcomes. Collaboration with cross-functional care teams in Rehabilitation, Family, and Treating Team conferences is a key aspect of this position. Maintaining professional credentials and clinical skills through continuous education is also required.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credentialed under the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Social Work.
  • Current Massachusetts LCSW or LICSW.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience, preferably in a rehabilitation or geriatric hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise staff and students.
  • Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, establish appropriate professional boundaries, and strictly adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics.
