The Consultation Center is University Settlement’s Article 31 outpatient mental health clinic that has served children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 65-years.
Requirements
- MSW required
- LMSW or LCSW certification required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with time limited treatment approaches
Nice To Haves
- Two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
- Experience with treating children preferred
- Bilingual skills in English/Mandarin/Cantonese or English/Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood
- Conduct pre-admission screenings/intake assessments
- Implement case management treatment plans
- Provide therapy and assessments in office and using TeleHealth
- Maintain reports, administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards insure requirements and program policies
- Responsible for meeting set productivity benchmarks
- Facilitate intra/inter agency referrals, as necessary
- Advocate for patients with other community-based organizations and governmental agencies, as indicated
- Conduct offsite visits as stated by the State Office of Mental Health
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings
- Learn and utilize computerized treatment and billing programs
- Demonstrated ability to engage new and challenging cases
- Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Other duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services to patients and/or the community
