About The Position

At Achievement Centers for Children, we empower children with disabilities and their families to thrive. For more than 75 years, we’ve provided life-changing services across Northeast Ohio through education, therapy, family support, and recreation programs. We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Clinical Social Worker I to join our Family Support Services team, supporting children and families through Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) and Behavioral Health services. This role provides direct clinical support to children and families through assessments, counseling, service coordination, advocacy, and community-based interventions designed to strengthen family systems and improve long-term outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
  • Active Ohio Licensed Social Worker (LSW) license
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience or relevant internship experience
  • Knowledge of child development and family systems
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance for community travel

  • Master’s degree in Social Work
  • Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) experience
  • Experience working with young children and families
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of early intervention systems and community resources
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide family-centered clinical social work services for children and families
  • Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, and intake evaluations
  • Deliver counseling and therapeutic interventions based on individualized service plans
  • Support families by connecting them to community resources and reducing barriers to care
  • Collaborate with internal interdisciplinary teams and external providers
  • Advocate for clients and families to ensure access to appropriate services
  • Maintain timely documentation and compliance with clinical standards
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
