This position will collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. They work collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans that support patient-centered plans of care for both individual patients and the medical community. The Clinical Social Worker I- FLOAT will be responsible for covering across 10 inpatient units on the McLean Belmont campus. This will involve working with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses/ populations including, geriatrics, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, trauma and dissociative disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our practice is to have per diem floats train and become proficient at the inpatient level of care before assisting with coverage in the residential and partial programs, as this ensures a consistent foundation and supports safe, effective coverage across settings. This is an ideal role for developing clinical expertise through diverse diagnostic exposure and experience across hospital units. While this position is classified as per diem, we anticipate offering up to 40 hours per week to support increased coverage needs during the summer months, driven by a higher volume of vacation requests. Per diem float staff are paired with a LICSW supervisor at no cost and are invited to participate in twice-monthly group float supervision to ensure adequate support in the role.
