Full-Time Days 7pm-7:30am with rotating weekends 3S – Observation Unit 3 South is a 16-bed observation unit. This is a fast-paced unit/environment with patients that will be considered observation status. Patients will have a wide variety of different diagnoses/illnesses. Nurses on this unit must be able to assess and coordinate patients discharge planning with many different disciplines. The RN on this unit will need to understand that there will be rapid evaluations of patients to determine safe discharge or possible movement to an inpatient unit. The Clinical Shift Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the hospitalized patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice. This nurse functions in a leadership, overseeing daily unit operations, staff, and care delivery, utilizing a staff focused leadership model.
