In this full-time Clinical Services Support Coordinator position, you'll find yourself at the heart of clinical operations, where your skills and passion will help drive patient care coordination and operational effectiveness. You will work on-site in Tallahassee, FL, following a consistent 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday schedule. As a Clinical Services Support Coordinator, you will oversee patient transfers and discharges within the Physician Group, ensuring every detail is handled with care and accuracy. You will maintain and update provider schedules, promptly reflecting any changes in the electronic health record to keep patient care running smoothly. You will develop and manage provider on-call schedules, including utilization management calendars, and coordinate workflows to support clinical operations. Your day will involve creating and tracking patient notifications, facilitating operational projects, preparing vital reports and analytics, and ensuring all your work aligns with organizational and regulatory standards. Every action you take will contribute to efficient workflows and improved patient experiences in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR 6 months to one year of related experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, and apply basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in different formats
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and not have an active non-compete agreement that would interfere with Capital Health Plan
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, care coordination, medical office administration, utilization management, case management support, or a related healthcare setting
