About The Position

The Clinical Services Manager assists the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department for their specified units, in accordance with company policy and all appropriate regulations. This position is also ensuring that an effective infection control program and wound care program for their specified units is maintained at all times. Shift Differential's Ranging from $2.00-$4.00. Now Hiring: Full-Time Clinical Services Manager Nurse (RN) Schedule: (40 hours) Monday 9:00am-5:30pm Tuesday 9:00am-5:30pm Wednesday 9:00am-5:30pm Thursday 9:00am-5:30pm Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. Rotating On call shifts on weekends. Does require on call and floor coverage as needed including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required

Responsibilities

  • Inform nursing service personnel of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc.
  • Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
  • Attend care planning meetings for specified units
  • Complete new admit chart audits to ensure accuracy
  • Management and maintenance of the infection control program for monitoring communicable and/or infectious diseases among the residents and personnel.
  • Ensure that the facility is in compliance with current CDC, OSHA, and local regulations concerning infection control or standard/universal precautions.
  • Manage system of detecting, evaluating, recording, and reporting infections that originate with facility personnel.
  • Management and maintenance of the wound care program for specified units.
  • Responsible for wound care rounds with wound care provider for specified units.
  • Completion of all documentation related to wound care.
  • Evaluate new patients for wound care needs.
  • Provide ongoing training to staff related to wound care and wound prevention.
  • Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility’s quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or DON.
  • Assist the DON in determining the staffing needs of the nursing service department and selection of nursing service personnel.
  • This includes providing direct care and working floors shifts as needed.
  • Make daily rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
  • Report findings to the Director.
  • This position has no direct reports but provides supervision over the nursing department.
