About The Position

The Clinical Services Assistant Director translates clinical strategy into coordinated Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), reporting, wellness, communication, engagement, support group, and cross-program initiatives. This role strengthens consistency across programs while supporting managers with tools, data, and implementation guidance. This role serves multiple HeartLine programs. This position requires regular attendance at our Oklahoma City office. To be considered for this role, applicants must reside in Oklahoma.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related field required.
Active clinical licensure such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent preferred; candidates under supervision or candidacy may be considered.
Minimum of four years of relevant experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, clinical services, or a related field required.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including coaching, performance management, staff development, and fostering a supportive and accountable team environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and effective decision-making in complex, sensitive, or high-pressure situations.
Demonstrates a compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental approach when working with staff, leadership, and diverse populations.
Promotes staff wellness, resilience, and a supportive professional team environment.
Strong organizational and operational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, oversee projects and programs, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing needs.
Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, training, and processes that promote quality, consistency, staff wellness, and accountability.
Ability to analyze data and program outcomes, identify trends, and use findings to support continuous quality improvement, reporting, and operational decision-making.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, reporting systems, and other technology used to support program operations and performance.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
This position may involve handling high-pressure situations, particularly in response to community needs and disaster management.
Physically able to lift 20 pounds, sit for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, and bend/stoop.

Preferred experience includes nonprofit or suicide prevention work, supervisory or program leadership, CQI, staff wellness, clinical training, data analysis and reporting, advanced training in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Support implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices across programs.
Provide coordination and implementation support to Clinical Managers and Supervisors.
Coordinate CQI initiatives, audits, performance improvement projects, and CQI meetings.
Monitor documentation trends, quality indicators, and service delivery patterns to identify improvement needs.
Analyze clinical performance data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare CQI reports for leadership.
Prepare clinical performance reports for leadership and support grant reporting and program evaluation.
Track KPIs, quality metrics, engagement metrics, and clinical outcomes.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools that support decision-making and performance improvement.
Ensure accurate collection, analysis, and presentation of program data.
Coordinate staff wellness, resilience, self-care, recognition, peer support, and post-critical incident debriefing activities.
Monitor staff wellness and engagement trends and recommend improvements to leadership.
Coordinate the monthly Clinical Services Newsletter, including content development, staff contributions, engagement tracking, and internal communication improvements.
Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical training and continuing education.
Identify system-level training needs through CQI findings, staff feedback, engagement trends, and performance data.
Coordinate leadership-facing training recommendations related to wellness, resilience, clinical best practices, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention.
Support coaching, mentorship, and development pathways for supervisors, managers, and emerging clinical leaders.
Translate Clinical Services Director priorities into coordinated projects, communication plans, CQI activities, reporting routines, and cross-program implementation support.
Participate in leadership meetings, committees, and internal or external workgroups as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
