About The Position

The Clinical Service Representative (CSR) is a key member who works in conjunction with physicians, midlevel practitioners, office and clinical staff to provide patient care management, administrative functions, and routine clinical procedures in our WellStreet Urgent Care's fast paced, high-energy clinical office environment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a MA, EMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN or Radiology Technology program from an accredited institution
  • Must have certifications and/or licenses in applied field based on state law
  • One year of relevant healthcare experience preferred; preferably urgent care or emergency department
  • Willing to train stellar new graduates
  • Must be proficient in venipuncture and injections
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology
  • Required to travel to other WellStreet Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment
  • Perform triage and obtain vital signs
  • Obtain and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner
  • Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentiality
  • Collect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabs
  • Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal)
  • Start an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directed
  • Perform various clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory procedures
  • Document within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accurately
  • Train and assist with our Occupational Medicine service line utilizing our current EMR system, drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, respiratory fit, pulmonary function testing and/or abiding by the systems and/or protocols set forth by the company
  • Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers
  • Always ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
  • Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
