About The Position

Provides clinical office support including answering telephone calls, entering demographic and insurance/referral information, and scheduling appointments. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Answers telephone calls and handles patient questions or routes to appropriate personnel. Schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms patient appointments. Registers new patients in the system and obtains demographic and insurance information. Assists with obtaining referrals/pre-certifications as needed. Provides packets of information to patients associated with services which may accompany the appointment. Assists other clinical support staff during peak time, vacation/illnesses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support - American Red Cross
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.
  • Not Applicable (Skills)
  • A driver's license is not required for this position.
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
