About The Position
The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments for designated areas according to protocol. Provides courteous, professional and efficient service to patients and providers. Responsible for accurately completing registration process for all patients including collection of copayments and patient demographic information. This position requires regular travel between Roxbury, Riverside and Perryville.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suites

- Previous clinical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Schedules patient appointments, consultations, diagnostics, and procedures in accordance with physician protocols
- Review emails from marketing to schedule patients
- Blocks and schedules meetings for providers
- Reviews all incoming and outgoing referrals for our assigned physicians
- Communicates scheduling and patient changes with appropriate clinic staff efficiently
- Responds to patient inquiries regarding appointments and provides appointment reminders
- Accept and submit insurance claims and payment, as well obtaining HMO referral for patients to be seen from their primary care provider
- Collect co-payments
- Resolves scheduling conflicts proactively to address patient and care team needs
- Utilize collection balance portal and communicates with patient on payment options
