About The Position

Associated Nephrology Consultants, located in Maplewood, is looking for a full time Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate recognizes that giving patients personal attention can go a long way in establishing their positive experience with the clinic.

Requirements

Current license as an RN in the state of Minnesota.
BLS Healthcare provider.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Knowledge of scope of practice for RNs in the State of Minnesota.
Professional knowledge of clinical nursing protocols.
Knowledge of what medical symptomology constitutes urgent/emergent care.
Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
Knowledge of clinical protocols for vital signs.
Knowledge of normal values for vital signs (BP, Pulse, Respiration, Temps).
Critical thinking skills.
Decisive judgment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a complex fast-paced environment.
Ability to take appropriate actions in emergent situations.
Ability to work within established time frames with attention to detail and accuracy.
High level of skill in creative problem solving.
Ability to set priorities.
Proficient skills in all steps of the nursing process.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Excellent provision of care skills.
Customer service/people skills sufficient to deal with patients on the telephone who need reassurance and/or advice regarding health issues.
Ability to effectively collaborate with other healthcare team members.
Ability to work with a variety of personalities in the medical office setting.
Ability to type 50 words per minute.
Comfortable with clinical setting computer operations.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and understanding of managed care concepts strongly recommended.
Nephrology background is a plus.
