About The Position

Associated Nephrology Consultants, located in Maplewood, is looking for a full time Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate recognizes that giving patients personal attention can go a long way in establishing their positive experience with the clinic.

Requirements

  • Current license as an RN in the state of Minnesota.
  • BLS Healthcare provider.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Knowledge of scope of practice for RNs in the State of Minnesota.
  • Professional knowledge of clinical nursing protocols.
  • Knowledge of what medical symptomology constitutes urgent/emergent care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Knowledge of clinical protocols for vital signs.
  • Knowledge of normal values for vital signs (BP, Pulse, Respiration, Temps).
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a complex fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take appropriate actions in emergent situations.
  • Ability to work within established time frames with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of skill in creative problem solving.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Proficient skills in all steps of the nursing process.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Excellent provision of care skills.
  • Customer service/people skills sufficient to deal with patients on the telephone who need reassurance and/or advice regarding health issues.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities in the medical office setting.
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute.
  • Comfortable with clinical setting computer operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and understanding of managed care concepts strongly recommended.
  • Nephrology background is a plus.
