About The Position

This is an evergreen posting representing 3 open positions: Jr208023 Jr208019 Jr208022. The role involves providing direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families. Essential functions include clinical advancement through systematic planning and information exchange, clinical judgment and decision-making using a critical thinking approach, and clinical leadership by delegating and guiding team members. The role also focuses on establishing therapeutic nurse-patient/family relationships, providing age-appropriate education, and coordinating transfer and discharge planning. The nurse will independently perform the nursing process for patients with overt and subtle needs, coordinate patient care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Graduate of nursing school.
1 Year clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months experience will complete the new grad requirements).
California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
Utilize systematic planning, appropriate methods, and timely exchange of information with the multidisciplinary team and patient/family to coordinate care.
