About The Position

Seeking a Part Time Clinical RN Supervisor for BCHP's Pediatric Practice in Fishkill, NY. The schedule will be 3 days with a total of 24 hours per week. The pay rate will be approximately $40/hr-$43/hr, negotiable based on experience. This role requires an active NYS RN license.

Requirements

  • Active NYS RN license required
  • Minimum of two years clinical supervisory experience
  • BLS certification
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Current RN license required

Nice To Haves

  • Computer skills desired include Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Pediatric nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the service line management of daily operations and program development for Medical Offices including compliance with Clinical Quality Requirements required for ACO/PCMH/HEDIS/AAAHC/ AAAASF/VFC Coordinator.
  • Collaborates with personnel and/or activities at the Medical Office including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, evaluation, disciplining and terminating in conformance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitors quality improvement, including identification and dissemination of best practices: Reviews data and trends from service line reports generated by BCHP to determine system performance related to patient outcomes and then suggest areas for improvement. For example, monitors adherence with ACO, NCQA, PCMH and contractual reporting requirements compared with dashboards.
  • Identifies education, workflow, process or documentation/template enhancements.
  • Meets regularly with the lead physician to analyze service line clinical performance issues and/or determine whether a system-wide performance improvement initiative is warranted.
  • Identifies best practices for implementation.
  • Ensures appropriate service line Nursing and Clinical Services in accordance with governmental and other regulatory/accreditation standards.
  • Ensures nursing care is essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients' health and wellness.
  • Develop guidelines and best practice for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities as necessary.
  • Takes patients vital signs, height and weight
  • Assists physician, prepares and stocks exam rooms
  • Assigns patients and physicians to exam rooms
  • Prepares daily assignment for medical support staff
  • Communicates with front desk staff as necessary
  • Provides direct and individualized nursing care, dressing wounds and incisions as directed by physician
  • Assists physicians during patient exam
  • Prepares, administers and records immunizations in accordance with division policy and procedure as directed
  • Completes medical forms and assists with prior authorizations
  • Maintains appropriate supply of medications, immunizations and general nursing supplies
  • Performs various testing which may include but not limited to - urinalysis, hemoglobin finger stick, rapid strep, rapid flu/covid testing
  • Triage phone calls answering basic questions and referring to physician when need arises.
  • Records information concisely, accurately and completely in patient charts and/or on forms, etc
  • Follow- up on diagnostic testing/lab results and ensure that test results are incorporated in patient chart
  • Cleans and sterilizes equipment as necessary, calls prescriptions in to pharmacies
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality of patient's records in accordance with BCHP policy and HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities accordingly.
  • Other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the office
