About The Position

This is a full-time, office-based position in Daytona Beach, FL. Work hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm or 7:30am-3:30pm. If you join us, you will work with some of the world´s leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of a new drug. Many Technicians are drawn to their profession because of its direct impact on patient care. If this is your case, you will not miss that working in Phase 1 trials. Whilst allowing you to have a close face-to-face relationship with participants, and as you continue to practice your clinical skills and knowledge, you´ll be involved with the latest medical technologies and treatments, witnessing their development firsthand. When the drug you worked with gets approved, you know you´ll touch many patient´s lives around the world.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0 – 1 year of clinical research experience.
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls, including a computer keyboard, for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Must be able to stand and/or bend for up to 6 hours per day.
  • CPR/AED Certification is required for the position.
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Extreme attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience is ideal, but not a must.
  • We are open to consider recent graduates or any recent clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands on practical/administrative activities of clinical trials in Clinical Pharmacology in line with protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and Temperature readings.
  • Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holter’s.
  • Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensures the proper distribution of those samples.
  • Monitors meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
  • Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
  • Assist with screening procedures as needed.
  • Undertake any other duties as required
