About The Position

Rebis is seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled, and research-minded Sleep Technologist to support both clinical research and sleep laboratory operations. The Research Sleep Technologist serves as the primary technologist for research-related sleep studies and data collection while maintaining competency in routine clinical sleep testing. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality physiologic data, participant safety, protocol compliance, and research integrity. Full-time staff may also support regularly scheduled patient studies when research volume allows or operational needs require. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining patient care, technology, and scientific discovery to help advance the future of sleep medicine.

Requirements

  • RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Previous clinical research experience
  • Pediatric sleep experience
  • Strong understanding of sleep physiology and AASM standards
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently overnight
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Polysomnographic acquisition software proficiency (Compumedics preferred)
  • PSG/MSLT/MWT protocol execution
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles
  • Protocol deviation identification and reporting
  • Participant screening, enrollment, and informed consent execution
  • Source documentation and audit trail maintenance
  • Electronic data capture (EDC) platform proficiency
  • EHR/EMR documentation including charge capture and order reconciliation
  • Study startup activities: site initiation readiness, delegation logs, training documentation
  • Medical equipment calibration and preventive maintenance logging
  • Supply and inventory management across multi-study environments

  • Experience with pharmaceutical, academic or industry research.

Responsibilities

  • Execute overnight research studies and participant monitoring.
  • Ensure protocol compliance and research data integrity.
  • Conduct research and clinical sleep studies with technical excellence.
  • Support participant education and study completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues.
  • Maintain research equipment and study readiness.
  • Collaborate with research, clinical, and operational teams.
  • Support routine sleep laboratory operations as needed.
  • Perform PSG, titration studies and other sleep testing as needed.
  • Collect high-quality physiologic data and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and study quality.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and study readiness.
  • Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
