The Clinical Research Project Manager oversees ongoing and new research projects across the MGH Resilience and Prevention Program (RAPP) and the Emotion and Social Neuroscience Laboratory (ESNL), based at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging and the MGH Psychiatry Department. The role manages multiple clinical studies, including randomized controlled trials, and directly hires, supervises, and trains Clinical Research Coordinators and other study staff. It coordinates study initiation, recruitment, intervention procedures, neuroimaging protocols, longitudinal data collection, and multi-site collaborations, while serving as a liaison among sponsors, the IRB, core laboratories, site principal investigators, study staff, and organizational partners. The position manages program and project plans, schedules, budgets, workflows, timelines, risks, and reporting. It leads regulatory submissions and ongoing IRB compliance, maintains regulatory documentation under single-IRB oversight at MGB, and supports compliance with federal, state, and sponsor guidelines. Duties may also include building and managing REDCap instruments and case report forms, coordinating clinical-site data requests, and reviewing data quality. The position reports directly to the Principal Investigator and works closely with senior program managers, post-doctoral fellows, and clinical research coordinators. RAPP develops and tests psychosocial interventions intended to increase emotional resilience among youth at risk for serious mental illnesses. ESNL studies neural correlates of emotion and social cognition abnormalities in people affected by or at risk for serious mental illnesses. The position may suit candidates interested in community-based mental health interventions, clinical neuroscience, prevention in at-risk youth, and outcomes research.
