About The Position

The Cardiovascular Clinical Research Department is looking for a Registered Nurse to join their team. This role involves coordinating research studies related to investigational drug and device trials of all phases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinical trials are industry and physician initiated and managed by the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research team and the physicians in the Lankenau Heart Institute. The position requires attention to detail, accurate record keeping, data collection, and communication with various research collaborators. The Clinical Research Nurse will facilitate multi-disciplinary interactions for research subjects, provide education, and promote quality patient coordination for research study requirements and safety. This work is performed under physician investigator guidance and delegation, program manager guidance, and in close collaboration with the clinical research team.

Requirements

  • Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Hospital credentialing as required.
  • Hospital or clinical setting experience of 1-3 + years, preferably related to cardiology, cardiac surgery and/or vascular surgery or nursing.
  • Field related experience in a related medical area considered.
  • Proficiency in utilizing multiple e-based tools: Office365/SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Office tools, navigating websites.
  • Utilization of complex databases, electronic health records (EHR) systems and web-based data collection tools (ie REDCAP).
  • Strong written and verbal skills in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery and/or vascular disease is preferred.
  • Clinical research experience preferred, other specialties considered.
  • Clinical Research Certification preferred (ACRP, SoCRA).
