About The Position

Texas Oncology is seeking a Full-time Clinical Research Nurse (RN) to support the San Antonio, Tx location. This position is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, dedicated to making the best available cancer care accessible to all communities. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program for nursing education required (BSN preferred)
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in state of practice
  • Current BLCS or ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • OCN certification strongly preferred
  • CCRC or CCRP certification preferred
  • Oncology or Research experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required, preferably in oncology (for Level 2)
  • Minimum seven years of nursing experience required, preferably in oncology (for Level Sr)

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • OCN certification strongly preferred
  • CCRC or CCRP certification preferred
  • Oncology or Research experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with physicians to identify and screen potential patients for clinical trial participation
  • Present trial concepts and details to oncology patients while conducting the informed consent process.
  • Assess patients for adverse events and/or changes in condition
  • Provide staff and patient education regarding the management and administration of investigational product
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry to meet trial requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between clinic departments to ensure proper trial conduct
