About The Position

The Clinical Research Nurse II will oversee the safety and consent of clinical trial participants during study conduct and the maintenance of safety equipment. The Clinical Research Nurse II will execute tasks performed in compliance with study protocol, Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • Degree from accredited Registered Nurse program required or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related clinical research experience required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS, CPR/AED) certification, required
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, required
  • Microsoft suite
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals.
  • Ability to write advanced reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
  • Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual proficiency in French may be required, depending on location.
  • Relevant industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled inspection of emergency crash carts, inventory/inspect the contents, and maintain up to date records.
  • May train employees on clinical trial activities associated to their job’s needs.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of clinical trial participants and sponsors is respected.
  • Perform clinical trial activities including but not limited to, continuous safety monitoring, safety assessments, Investigational Product (IP) administration and catheter installation.
  • Monitor, document and/or follow-up on participant adverse events.
  • Maintain and advocate a high level of patient care, quality, and safety within the department.
  • May assist in study related consenting with participant screenings.
  • Provide feedback, where necessary, to appropriate team members of study progress.
  • Proactively communicate issues and/or problem resolutions to departmental supervisors and managers.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management
