About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Clinical Research Financial Analyst to join our team at the Institute of Community Health Innovation. This role is essential for managing the accounting and analysis of key financials for all research-funded projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our research initiatives. The Clinical Research Financial Analyst will also be responsible for financial reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability. Key responsibilities include budgeting, managing contracts, billing and invoicing, and maintaining accounts. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with research teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for this position. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business (Auditing, Finance, Accounting), or Healthcare Administration, Science, Nursing, and/or related field OR High School, GED, or formal education equivalent plus five (5) years of related experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
One (1) year of experience with billing, accounting, finance, budgeting, financial analysis, or a related field.
Level I – One (1) year of experience with billing, accounting, finance, budgeting, financial analysis, or related fields.
Level II – Three (3)- Five (5) years of experience with billing, accounting, finance, budgeting, financial analysis, or related field plus One (1)+ years of clinical research pre and/or post-contract funding and/or one (1)+ years of grant experience.
Level III (Senior) –Bachelor’s Degree plus Five (5) years of experience with billing, accounting, finance, budgeting, financial analysis, or related field plus three (3)+ years of clinical research pre and/or post-contract funding and/or three (3)+ years of grant experience.
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in financial software and tools
In-depth understanding of federally funded grant awards and financial terms
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

Responsibilities

Oversee multiple federally funded budgets; ensure terms met and compliant; monitor expenditures and revenue; coordinate with grants accounting, OSPAN, and ORSP; close accounts and resolve invoice/payments with agencies.
Extract and analyze financial data; prepare reports for investigators and leadership; improve financial SOPs; identify improvement opportunities and support action plans.
Maintain processes and tools for financial services across the project lifecycle; collaborate with the research team to ensure smooth workflows.
Provide professional, confidential support to internal and external stakeholders; uphold patient- and program-centered care principles.
Additional duties as assigned to advance the mission of UAMS ICHI.
