The Optics group at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging is searching for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join their team. In this role, the selected candidate will be involved in running near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) experiments using various diffuse optical devices in human projects conducted both within their lab at Charlestown Navy Yard and in patients at MGH and BWH hospitals. Working with Mass General Brigham provides the opportunity to collaborate with prominent scientists, engage with individuals from various fields, be part of a dynamic and enjoyable team, pursue publication opportunities, and receive guidance and support for future career choices. Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, the role provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.
