The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry human subjects researcher, responsible for conducting and assisting in clinical research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior clinical research staff. This individual obtains informed consent, collects, maintains and organizes study information. Assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications and documents (e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office). This research coordinator will contribute to clinical and translational research on asthma and allergy at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (New York City). The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary, NIH-funded research team at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine led by physician scientist, Professor Supinda Bunyavanich. This full-time position would be a good fit for an individual interested in medicine, laboratory work, and clinical research because it will involve interaction with patients, study participants, and clinical staff; laboratory work at the bench; and hands-on experience with many aspects of clinical research, including multi-center collaborations. A successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, close attention to detail, superb organizational skills, laboratory experience, and a firm commitment to learning, efficient work, communication, and the team effort.
