The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time). Pay Range: $86,964.80 - $119,714.81

Requirements

  • Masters degree.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Five years of acute care experience and two years of research experience.
  • CITI training.
  • Excellent mentoring skills, public speaking, highly motivated, creative individual.
  • Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the professional development of clinical staff.
  • Assesses research learning needs.
  • Functions as a role model for evidence-based practice and research.
  • Assists in the identification and implementation of clinical research opportunities at CH.
  • Coordinates system-wide education on research activities.
  • Assists colleagues in preparation of accurate abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Provides communication channels for dissemination of research.
  • Supports organizational shared governance structure.
  • Chairs the Research and EBP Committee.
  • Participates in shared governance meetings, as needed.
  • Demonstrates effective teaching skills and uses a variety of instructional methods/teaching strategies.
  • Disseminates effectively information about relevant learning offerings within and outside CH.
  • Exercises discretion and judgement to promote clinical research as a strategic initiative of the nursing division.
  • Identifies research priorities in conjunction with departmental leadership.
  • Promotes the application of research activities toward evidence-based practice.
  • Mentors colleagues in research activities.
  • Participates in IRB activities both as a member and in preparing protocols for IRB review.
  • Mentors in publishing and presenting findings from research studies timely and accurately.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and mentors staff in statistical analyses.
  • Acquires research grants to expand the clinical research program.
  • Supports clinical graduate and doctoral level students in completion of projects.
  • Serves as mentor to doctoral level students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
