About The Position

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to be responsible for the performance of research studies under the medical supervision of the Principal Investigator and the clinical research director. This role is responsible for the overall successful implementation and ongoing site management of clinical research studies. FCS has a national reputation for excellence, utilizing innovative clinical research, cutting-edge technologies, and advanced treatments to provide world-class cancer care. We are recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award and offer patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida. Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon, we are one of the largest clinical research organizations in the United States.

Requirements

Minimum of one year prior clinical research experience, preferably with oncology clinical research; or a minimum of two years clinical experience (Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN in an oncology practice).
Effective communication skills.
Organized.
Detail oriented.
Strong patient advocates.
Available to travel to investigators meetings.
Valid Driver’s License in state of residency for travel to clinics.
Must comply with the Company’s Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy.
Must pass background, drug, and nicotine screens.
Must receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
Must be able to pass drug/nicotine testing. Medical Marijuana cards are not recognized.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the performance of the research study under the medical supervision of the Principal Investigator and the clinical research director.
Responsible for the overall successful implementation and ongoing site management of the clinical research studies.
