The Swallowing and Salivary Bioscience Laboratory (SSBL) offers a unique opportunity combining advanced research responsibilities with specialized videofluoroscopic imaging duties in a highly collaborative academic research environment. The role is well-suited for candidates with a strong interest in dysphagia research, imaging science, and translational clinical research. This position supports interdisciplinary research within the SSBL, with primary responsibility for execution, coordination, and analysis of dysphagia research studies. Approximately 80% of duties involve research support activities including videofluoroscopic image analysis, study visit coordination, data management, and research operations. The remaining 20% of duties involve operating fluoroscopy equipment during human subjects research visits, requiring appropriate radiation technologist training and credentialing. This position is full or part-time, 60%-100%. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
