About The Position

Monroe Biomedical Research is a high-performing clinical research center investigating treatments for various conditions including asthma, COPD, heart failure, diabetes, and COVID-19. With plans for expansion, they are seeking motivated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants interested in clinical research and advancing therapy development.

Requirements

  • Current South Carolina licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants or appropriate certification for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Familiarity with medical instruments, equipment, and clinical procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing study demands and perform procedures on an as-needed basis.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Charleston, SC.

  • Previous clinical research experience is preferred; candidates with a strong interest in transitioning into clinical research are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical trial procedures and collect accurate patient data.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, infusions, and other medical procedures as required by study protocols.
  • Assess participant health through patient interviews, physical examinations, and electrocardiograms (ECGs).
  • Review, document, and process medical records.
  • Support clinical research protocols while maintaining patient safety and data accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with research staff and clinical trial participants.
