The coordinator will support human clinical research for an NIH-funded project involving participants recruited from clinics at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Working with the Principal Investigator, a supervisor, and an interdisciplinary team, the coordinator will help refine and establish a multi-component intervention that supports patients in formulating and communicating their values, goals, and priorities for end-of-life care while living with serious illnesses. The role involves extensive patient interaction as part of a clinical research team and may suit someone interested in graduate study or a career in medicine, public health, or clinical research. Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, the coordinator assists with recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling study visits; performing clinical tests; and maintaining study data. The posting states that the position does not require patient care.
