About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital seeks a per diem individual (clinical research coordinator or laboratory technician) to assist with processing of samples for NIH-funded studies related to high-risk pregnancy, impact of maternal pregnancy exposures on offspring neurodevelopment, maternal immunity in pregnancy and lactation, and other departmental projects. In this per diem role, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the research coordinator or technician will assist with research study sample processing.

• Ability to travel locally for study visits.
• Availability to facilitate collection of delivery samples.
• Willingness to perform high quality sample processing and storage of maternal, umbilical cord blood, placenta, and breastmilk, among other types of samples.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating collection of participant samples including delivery samples, and being present to facilitate sample collection, which may require some work outside of the standard work day.
• Samples will be transported to the laboratory and processed, labeled and stored for future use in projects.
• Perform high quality sample processing and storage of maternal, umbilical cord blood, placenta, and breastmilk, among other types of samples.
