About The Position

The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC I) role is within the Mass General Brigham AMC Medicine Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Endoscopy, specifically in the Neurointestinal Health Center. This position assists with clinical research studies by recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients. The CRC I will also collect and organize patient data, schedule study visits, perform clinical tests (such as phlebotomy and EKGs), and maintain and update study data. A six-month grace period is provided for candidates completing their bachelor's degree to submit verification, extending to one year if starting on a per diem basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required.
  • Some relevant research project work.
  • 0-1 year of experience preferred.
  • Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Working knowledge of clinical research protocols.
  • Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met.
  • Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews.
  • Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol.
  • Prepares data for analysis and data entry.
  • Documents patient visits and procedures.
  • Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures.
  • Assists with interviewing study subjects.
  • Assists with study regulator submissions.
