The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Center for Reproductive Psychiatry. The center focuses on conditions such as perinatal depression and anxiety, perinatal trauma-related disorders, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and perimenopausal depression. We are focused on better understanding and treating hormonally-related mood fluctuations. Our research advances knowledge of mental health during periods of hormonal change, the gut-brain axis, and the human microbiome. We utilize multistage clinical trials to assess the role of psychotherapeutic and biologic treatments that capitalize on the microbiota-gut-brain axis. This role involves coordinating clinical research studies, including regulatory documents, IRB interactions, and data collection. The coordinator will also screen, recruit, and consent study participants, manage clinical trial protocols, and support a translational research clinic by integrating research assessments and sample collection into clinical care. The position also involves providing input into research designs, developing and carrying out data analysis plans, presenting findings, overseeing biomarker data collection, and supervising research assistants and trainees.
