Join a collaborative and mission-driven clinical research team within the Department of OB/GYN, where your expertise will directly support innovative studies that improve women’s health. As a Research Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role at the intersection of research, finance, and compliance—ensuring clinical trials are built on accurate, sustainable, and compliant budgets from the start. In this role, you’ll partner closely with investigators, study teams, and sponsors to analyze complex research protocols, develop detailed clinical trial budgets, and lead budget negotiations. You’ll gain deep insight into how clinical research operates across major healthcare systems—including UW Hospital and Clinics, UW Medical Foundation, and UnityPoint Health Meriter—while helping ensure studies meet institutional, state, and federal regulatory standards. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex information, and collaborating across teams. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical and compliant research practices. Just as important, you’ll bring professionalism and sound judgment to your work—communicating effectively, fostering respectful relationships, and maintaining a patient- and customer-centered mindset in all interactions. If you're looking to contribute to meaningful research while growing your expertise in clinical trial finance and operations, this role offers both impact and opportunity. This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
