The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant interested in contributing to research aimed at understanding the neurobiological risk factors related to the development of substance use disorders. The chosen candidate will support ongoing research examining how individual differences in neurobiology contribute to features associated with substance use disorders, and whether laboratory-based interventions targeting neurobiology can produce corresponding changes in behavior, cognition, and psychological processes. This position primarily involves interacting with study participants via email, phone/video calls, and in-person visits to determine study eligibility and collect study data. The role also requires detail-oriented computer work, including participant scheduling, data entry, data quality checks, and data management. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a proven track record of learning new skills quickly, and is enthusiastic about contributing to the research mission. They will also assist with project-related administrative tasks, including data entry and export, maintaining study databases, organizing study materials, conducting basic data summaries, and supporting other general office duties in service of the study’s goals.
