About The Position

Children’s Mercy is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support a program designed to better understand respiratory viruses in schools. Under the direct supervision of a Research Manager, the Clinical Research Assistant I will assist research team members by performing basic study procedures, and completing assigned tasks such as nasal swab collection/handling, and data collection and processing in schools. This position has funding until June 2027 and candidates need to be local to the Kansas City area. Children’s Mercy is committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree health sciences or related degree and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training 0-2 years of research experience
  • Associate's Degree health sciences or related degree and 1-2 years research experience

  • Reliable transportation needed for field visits to schools (travel mileage will be reimbursed)
