About The Position

This role is for a Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C) or Registered Nurse (RN/M1) in the Renal Dialysis Unit at Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network – Whyalla. The RN/M2C role involves delivering high-quality care, taking accountability for practice, supporting less experienced staff, and contributing to a collaborative team. It also includes undertaking portfolio responsibilities aligned with professional development goals. The RN/M1 role focuses on providing essential nursing care, developing from a novice to a proficient practitioner, gaining hands-on experience, and strengthening clinical capability. Both roles involve delivering safe and effective care. The position is located at Whyalla Hospital and Health Services, which is a large regional hospital offering a comprehensive range of services.

Requirements

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • For RN/M2C: At least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
  • For RN/M2C: Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Immunisation compliance as indicated on the Role description.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
