About The Position
GuideStar Eldercare’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for our shared patients by easing their suffering while actively promoting their safety, functionality, and dignity. Requirements
- An active state Psychologist license
- Passion for the geriatric population
- Interest in neurobehavioral science
- A desire to make a difference in a population struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders.
Nice To Haves
- An HSPP is preferred in applicable states.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation
- Establish different diagnosis, i.e., Alzheimer's vs. Parkinson's vs. Vascular
- Provide cognitive assessments
- Provide condition-specific support therapy or when indicated, insight-based therapy
- Coordinate the patient's care plan with the facility, PCP and GuideStar colleagues, and engage with the family as indicated.
