About The Position
Executive Mental Health (EMH) is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide high-impact, human-centered mental healthcare in skilled nursing facilities. This role focuses on serving older adults who often face serious mental illness, cognitive decline, medical complexity, trauma, grief, and end-of-life issues. Requirements
- Hold a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
- Licensed in California.
- Medicare-eligible (assistance provided with credentialing and paneling).
- Value evidence-based practice and clinical flexibility.
- Comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity.
- Desire autonomy without isolation, and support without micromanagement.
- Curiosity, compassion, and the ability to see the person behind the chart.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish, Armenian, and Chinese-speaking abilities are desirable.
- Ability to provide in-person care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat residents in skilled nursing facilities.
- Provide psychological services to geriatric, disabled, and medically complex populations.
- Manage an active caseload with support from a clinical manager and administrative team.
- Collaborate closely with facility staff, offering consultation, guidance, and in-services.
- Complete documentation aligned with medical necessity and Medicare standards.
