About The Position

Executive Mental Health (EMH) is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide high-impact, human-centered mental healthcare in skilled nursing facilities. This role focuses on serving older adults who often face serious mental illness, cognitive decline, medical complexity, trauma, grief, and end-of-life issues. Requirements

  • Hold a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensed in California.
  • Medicare-eligible (assistance provided with credentialing and paneling).
  • Value evidence-based practice and clinical flexibility.
  • Comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Desire autonomy without isolation, and support without micromanagement.
  • Curiosity, compassion, and the ability to see the person behind the chart.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish, Armenian, and Chinese-speaking abilities are desirable.
  • Ability to provide in-person care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat residents in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Provide psychological services to geriatric, disabled, and medically complex populations.
  • Manage an active caseload with support from a clinical manager and administrative team.
  • Collaborate closely with facility staff, offering consultation, guidance, and in-services.
  • Complete documentation aligned with medical necessity and Medicare standards.
