About The Position

Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle. Seattle Children’s is seeking a passionate, culturally grounded Clinical Psychologist to join the team at the Odessa Brown Children's Clinic (OBCC). In this role, you will provide critical, evidence-based mental health services directly to children, adolescents, and families navigating serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Your practice will be rooted in a family-advocacy framework, ensuring interventions substantially improve child and family functioning across multiple life domains (school, home, community) while remaining cost-effective and accessible.

Requirements

  • PhD, PsyD, or Ed.D. in psychology, with specialization in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited training program.
  • Completion of an APA-approved internship.
  • Formal post-doctoral training in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington.
  • Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-doctoral level experience in pediatric psychology.
  • Experience in a pediatric medical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments and therapy to a diverse pediatric and adolescent population presenting with complex trauma, behavioral disruptions, and emotional difficulties.
  • Partner directly with parents and caregivers to create culturally responsive, systemic treatment plans that improve overall family domain functioning.
  • Work closely alongside OBCC pediatricians, dental providers, and nutritionists to provide a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to patient wellness.
  • Design and implement interventions that prioritize long-term, sustainable patient growth in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner.
