About The Position

Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Long Island, NY. This role focuses on helping children with special needs reach their goals by conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. We are a team of passionate therapists providing excellent pediatric therapy, specializing in ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy, as well as Special Education/SEIT services. Our culture is centered around collaboration and support, ensuring high-quality services and adherence to strong ethical standards. We serve children and families in the metro New York area, Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Delaware.

Requirements

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Valid NYS Clinical Psychologist license
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to: Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Administer Psychological Evaluations in home and/or school based settings.
• Gather necessary information to conduct social histories.
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories and submit them in a timely manner.
• Write Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals.
• Determine need for additional assessments per observation and child needs.
• Conduct evaluations in the primary language of the child.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.
