Clinical Psychologist, PhD/PsyD
About The Position
Our client, a behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services organization based in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist. This organization is approved under various Alaska waivers and state plans and provides integrated mental health and substance use treatment services across the continuum of care. The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for psychological assessments, diagnostic testing, and evidence-based therapy for individuals receiving mental health and substance use disorder services. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, individualized care. Flexible in-person, telehealth, or hybrid scheduling may be available.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited program.
- Active, unrestricted Alaska psychology license or eligibility for Alaska licensure or reciprocity.
- Experience conducting psychological and psychodiagnostic testing.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and EHR skills.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and credentialing.
Nice To Haves
- Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
- Telehealth experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological and psychodiagnostic assessments, including standardized testing when clinically appropriate.
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.
- Prepare comprehensive assessment reports and incorporate findings into individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers, therapists, SUD counselors, case managers, and program leadership.
- Provide clinical consultation for complex diagnostic and co-occurring disorder cases.
- Participate in treatment-team meetings, case reviews, and quality-improvement activities.
- Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with Alaska Medicaid, 1115 Waiver, and State Plan requirements.
