About The Position
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist for a position in Crescent City, CA, within a Correctional Healthcare setting. This is a 6-month term with the possibility of extension. Multiple shift schedules are available. The pay rate is $145-$150/hr.
Requirements
- Current CA Psychology License
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive psychological evaluations and reports summarizing findings and recommendations
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions addressing issues such as anger management, substance abuse, trauma, and adjustment to incarceration
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide crisis counseling and support to inmates and staff
- Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the danger posed by inmates to themselves and others
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including case managers, social workers, and psychiatrists
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments, treatment sessions, and other professional activities
