Clinical Psychologist, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas About the Position: This position is located at Munson Army Heath Clinic, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Requirements

  • US Citizens
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes performing psychological evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological counseling services.
  • This position requires a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
  • For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
  • FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Responsibilities

  • Screen and interview patients, and perform psychological and bio-psychosocial evaluations.
  • Determine the appropriateness of the patient receiving services in the primary care setting.
  • Use objective and measurable outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Develop, teach, and provide oversight for classes that promote education and skill-building.
  • Provide high level expertise in human behavior as a primary care team member.
  • PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
