About The Position

BCHP's Regional Neonatal Follow up Program is seeking a per diem Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in early childhood development and the administration of neurodevelopmental testing for children aged 0-3 years. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. The program participates in NIH and industry-sponsored research, utilizing tools like the Bayley Scales of Infant & Toddler Development (BSID) for long-term outcome studies. The primary patient population includes two and three-year-old term and preterm children with a history of NICU admission who are at increased risk for neurodevelopmental impairment.

Requirements

  • NY State License (Required)
  • Extensive experience in early childhood development.
  • Extensive experience in the administration of neurodevelopmental testing for the 0-3 age group.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual proficiency with English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency with Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, second edition.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, score, and interpret the results of the Bayley Scales of Infant & Toddler Development 3rd edition (BSID 3RD ed) and/or 4th edition (BSID IV) for pediatric patients.
  • Utilize other diagnostic kits such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, second edition.
  • Participate in NIH and industry-sponsored research studies, performing assessments as required by study protocols.

Benefits

  • Pay rate between $500 and $700 for a full day.
  • $250-$350 for a half day.
