Requirements

  • BS and/or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Residency experience required.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • All employees must have basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.
  • Unrestricted pharmacy licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
  • Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns.
  • Fosters a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

  • PGY2 residency in Psychiatry preferred.
  • Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or Psychiatry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Clinical Psychiatric Pharmacist is responsible for daily team-based rounding on their assigned unit and providing exemplary clinical care to their patients.
  • The team member ensures optimal clinical care in the acute and residential/partial psychiatric setting, which includes aspects of general medicine, through assessment of patient-specific factors and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
